PUHA was founded to connect Persian-speaking individuals and families across the Kitchener–Waterloo–Cambridge–Guelph region. Moving to a new country can be overwhelming, but community makes all the difference. Through events, workshops, and social gatherings, PUHA creates a welcoming space where everyone can feel at home and celebrate Persian culture together.

What We Do in Our Community
PUHA delivers meaningful programs that support newcomers, seniors, youth, and families while celebrating Persian culture and strengthening community connections across the Waterloo Region.
Cultural Events
Hosting Nowruz, Yalda, Mehregan, and other Persian festivals to celebrate heritage and bring the community together.
Newcomer Support
Providing guidance for settlement, job search, and access to local resources to help newcomers thrive in Canada.
Senior Programs
Organizing social gatherings, light fitness activities, and cultural workshops to reduce isolation and support wellbeing.
Community Activities
Weekly walking groups, workshops, youth leadership programs, and family-oriented activities to strengthen community connections.
